National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, Doylestown, PA (Jubilee Site)
The Shrine, dedicated to the Blessed Mother – in Her title of Our Lady of Czestochowa, was established in 1955. Since then, it has been a place of pilgrimage not just for the Polish-American community but for all different nationalities. It is a place where everyone can find quietness, peace, and refuge from our busy world.
However, most of all it is the home of our Mother, Mary, who loves us and always leads us to Her Son Jesus Christ.
The shrine sits on 170 acres on Beacon Hill overlooking Peace Valley in Doylestown, PA.
In the lower church there is a replica of Our Lady’s Chapel at Jana Gora Monastery in Czestochowa, Poland, where the original icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa resides. There are four side chapels dedicated to St. Paul the First Hermit, Our Lady of Nazareth, Divine Mercy and Our Lady of Guadalupe.
